Before the world wakes up
I said all that to say that- when the sun comes up, I let it fill my cup and chase the dawn into the dusk another day.
Thanks for listening ☝️👂🕊️
Lyrics 👇:
When the sun goes down
My cells turn around
There’s a change in me I feel it
Captured in words
I must’ve misheard
The cipher of the silence
If there’s sign I’ll see it
Ya gotta a clue pursue it
Before the world wakes up
I call upon my luck
And if the birds do sing
I’ll find the melody
And play the chords on my guitar
To greet the light
In the soft day glow
I start to know
The meaning of the evening
Raptured I’ve learned
You get what you earn
And it often will surprise you
Another gift receive it
Another choice then choose it
Id rather win than lose it
I said all that to say
That when the sun comes up
I let it fill my cup
And chase the dawn into dusk
For another day
Tour is wrapped.
It was a good one.
A special thank you to the kind woman who let me know she has been following along with my substack. You blew my mind. Also thank you to Patty- who very sweetly let me know she’s been following along for a while and still listening to my first ep, the darkest night, and that she feels a connection to the tracks “want to release” and “I’m in trouble.” Y’all really made me feel special.
After two days of travel, Carolina, Benjo and I finally made it back to our cozy, little farm in the jungle Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta.
Benjo is happy.
The stress and anxiety that comes from a post tour international family travel saga can not be so terrible after the tsunami of peace that washes over as soon as we step foot back in this land.
Throughout the tour and all the weeks spent in transit I kept thinking to myself how lucky we are to live in such a magical place here nestled in the mountains of northern Colombia.
As we’re getting settled and recalibrated to the sweet life here we’re getting organized and ready for some bigger projects before the end of June, when we have three amazing retreats coming back to back to back. Another milestone achievement in the making for us.
Every time I come back home- it hits me right in the chest how absolutely stunning our farm and retreat center is… and we get to call it home.
Benjo gets to grow up here. It’s a vision I held in my heart since the first days I stepped foot on this land when I was just a wild twenty something traveler with nothing but heart and soul. That one day this was a place I could raise a family.
How did I get so lucky to meet Carolina? Together we’ve watched every dream of ours coming to fruition season by season.
The ups are sandwiched between the downs and it takes patience and surrender to eventually rise together once again.
I’m blessed.
As we get ready for these retreats, I want to make a special invitation to you.
